RSS Feed of FTTH Council MENA http://ftthcouncilmena.org <![CDATA[Dr Safa Nassereldin]]> http://ftthcouncilmena.org/about-us/about-us/people-partners/dr-safa-nassereldin?picture_id=1 Dr. Safa Nassereldin is the Chairwoman and board member of the FTTH Council MENA since January 2016, representing Moseco Group whose operations are in Saudi, Jordan, Palestine, Qatar, and the UAE.
She was the First Female Minister for ICT (MTIT) in Palestine (May 2012 - June 2014) and since June 2014 she is the Vice President for Al-Quds University. Before that, she was Advisor and Technical Assistant to the Minister for three years as well as E-gov General Coordinator and team leader for the National Team for Systems and Information Security (NTSIS). She lead the effort of preparing the National ICT strategy 2011-2013, the e-government Policy document and roadmap for 2012-2014 in cooperation with OECD. As leader for NTSIS, prepared a national Policy for Information security and prepared the terms of reference for creating the Palestine Cybersecurity emergency team. She helped in drafting MOUs for government and academic networks as well as drafting the e-transaction law.
Dr. Nassereldin worked in the academia both in Palestine and France. She is an active member in the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence, 2013-now, BOD and Head of incubation and motivation committee, member of BOD and projects evaluator for Palestinian Incubator for Energy, 2014-now.
Dr. Nassereldin graduated from Schmidt’s Girls College (German School). She has Bachelors in Electronic Engineering from Al-Quds University with Deans Honors list, Master degree in Signal and Image Processing from ENSEEIHT and Doctorate in Electronic Engineering from ENSEIRB, Bordeaux I University in France, 2003.
She has many certificates from Microsoft for Networking as system engineer as well as for Windows and Web Application development. She also participated in training for Proposal writing and Fund raising as well as Business and Management Tools and Innovation.

<![CDATA[Dr Suleiman Al-Hedaithy]]> http://ftthcouncilmena.org/about-us/about-us/people-partners/dr-suleiman-al-hedaithy?picture_id=5 Dr. Suleiman Al Hedaithy is the Treasurer and board member of the FTTH Council, Middle East & North Africa. 2014 to 2015 he was the Chairman. He is also the president of Middle East Fiber Cable Manufacturing Co. (MEFC) located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia since 2006.  During the past five years, MEFC expanded its operations to be the largest producer of optical fiber cables and related products in Middle East. Prior to joining MEFC, Dr. Al Hedaithy worked for Ministry of Defense and Aviation for more than twenty years during which he held several positions in fields on planning, budgeting, and research. He actively participated in the development of the National Science & Technology Plan and the National Information Technology Plan representing the Ministry at the national level.  He took early retirement from government while he held the position of Director of Research & Statistics department. Dr. Al Hedaithy was also involved in consultancy projects in industrial business development, information technology, and private equity.

Dr. Al Hedaithy holds a Doctor of Science degree and a master’s degree in management information systems from George Washington University, USA. He holds a B.S. degree in business statistics from the University of Tennessee, USA. Dr. Al Hedaithy also serves as a board member in several industrial organizations.

Mr. Schindler also contributes to FTTH Council Europe activity as Chairman of its Market Intelligence Committee, with a mission to expand economical and macroeconomic information and private funding topics for investors and infrastructure deployers.
Jan holds a MS degree in Business Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Zittau, Germany, and a Bachelor degree in International Business from Oslo University College, Norway.
